Should you build Brant?

Brant is a Fusion sub damage dealer who heals while building Bravo, then spends a full gauge on Returned from Ashes to deal damage and shield the active character. His Liberation improves Bravo gain and raises the ATK he receives from Energy Regen, while Outro supports an incoming Fusion or Resonance Skill damage dealer.

What to know before spending pulls

His base kit already provides team healing, a shield, and the full Fusion plus Resonance Skill handoff. Build toward the listed 250% Energy Regen target before treating Crit as the first problem to solve. Energy Regen helps cast his 175-energy Liberation and also converts into ATK above 150%, with a stronger conversion during Aflame.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Unflickering Valor is Brant's featured weapon. At level 90 it has 413 ATK and 77% Energy Regen. Casting Liberation grants 24% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 10 seconds, and dealing Basic Attack damage grants another 24% for 4 seconds. Overture is the accessible 4-star option with 338 ATK and 51.8% Energy Regen. Its Resonance Skill restores 8 Concerto Energy, which helps Brant reach Outro. Unflickering Valor gives more Energy Regen and directly improves the Basic Attack damage classification used by his aerial attacks and Returned from Ashes; Overture is the simpler resource option.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Brant's first Resonance Chain upgrade. Returned from Ashes briefly stagnates nearby targets, and Intro or each aerial flip grants 20% damage for 5 seconds, up to three stacks. Unflickering Valor instead supplies 77% Energy Regen and Basic Attack bonuses after Liberation and Basic Attack damage. S1 rewards completing the aerial string and adds control; the weapon makes the 250% Energy Regen target much easier to reach. His healing, shield, Aflame, and Outro package works without either.

Advice for your account

New account using Overture

Use Anchors Aweigh or Returned from Ashes during each field window to restore Concerto Energy. Its 51.8% Energy Regen also covers a large part of Brant's most important build target.

Account below 250% Energy Regen

Prioritize Energy Regen main stats and substats. Brant gains ATK for every point above 150%, and the conversion becomes stronger during Aflame, so Energy Regen supports both his Liberation schedule and personal damage.

Fusion or Resonance Skill carry after Brant

Leave through Outro after Returned from Ashes. The incoming character receives 20% Fusion DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Skill DMG Amplification for 14 seconds, or until that character switches out.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Enter with Intro to deal damage, gain Bravo, and make the next aerial attack begin at Stage 2. Cast Liberation early to heal the team, enter Aflame, double Bravo gain from normal attacks and Anchors Aweigh, and strengthen the Energy-Regen-to-ATK conversion. Continue from Intro into the aerial string: hold Normal Attack for the available Rhapsodic Riff, then use Mid-air Attacks through Stages 3 and 4. Cast Anchors Aweigh when needed to stay in the air and build more Bravo. At 100 Bravo, press Resonance Skill for Returned from Ashes, which consumes the gauge, deals Basic Attack damage, and creates a shield. Use Outro into the Fusion or Resonance Skill carry.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

Intro shortens the opener because it supplies Bravo and skips the next aerial string to Stage 2. A repeat without Intro must build more Bravo through normal attacks and Anchors Aweigh. Liberation should come before the main aerial sequence when available because Aflame doubles Bravo gain from those hits; casting Returned from Ashes ends Aflame after the attack finishes.

Why this skill priority

Forte Circuit, Liberation, Resonance Skill, and Basic Attack are all listed first because Brant's role crosses all four. The Forte contains Bravo healing, Returned from Ashes, the shield, and Energy Regen conversion. Liberation starts Aflame, Resonance Skill launches and spends the gauge, and the aerial Basic Attack string supplies most of the hits used to fill it.

Required buffs and assumptions

The fast route assumes Intro and Liberation are available. Waves of Acclaims heals only as Bravo reaches 25, 50, 75, and 100, so starting above a threshold or failing to land attacks changes when each heal occurs. The shield from Returned from Ashes belongs to the current on-field Resonator and is lost when that shielded Resonator switches out.

Energy Regen target

Target at least 250% Energy Regen as listed in the current build. Brant has a 175-point Liberation cost. Outside Aflame, every 1% Energy Regen above 150% adds 12 ATK, up to 1560; during Aflame it adds 20 ATK, up to 2600. Unflickering Valor supplies 77%, while Overture supplies 51.8%.

Troubleshooting

Returned from Ashes does not replace Resonance Skill

Likely cause: Bravo has not reached its 100-point maximum.

Check: Check the Bravo gauge and whether Intro, normal attacks, and Anchors Aweigh are hitting the target.

Fix: Cast Liberation first when ready to double Bravo gain from normal attacks and Anchors Aweigh, then continue the aerial string until the gauge is full.

Brant's team healing seems to stop during the combo

Likely cause: Bravo has not crossed another 25-point threshold, or the gauge was already past that threshold.

Check: Waves of Acclaims triggers when Bravo reaches 25, 50, 75, and 100 rather than on every hit.

Fix: Keep building Bravo to the next marked threshold. Use Liberation when available if immediate healing is required.

The shield disappears as soon as the rotation hands off

Likely cause: The Resonator carrying Returned from Ashes' shield switched off the field.

Check: Confirm whether the shielded active character was replaced after Brant created the shield.

Fix: Treat the shield as protection for the current field window. Do not plan around transferring it through another switch.

How to Play

Normal Attacks, Resonance Skill, and Intro Skill recover Forte Gauge on hit. For a certain amount of Forte Gauge gained, restore HP once to all Resonators in the team. When Forte Gauge is fully restored, press the Resonance Skill button to perform enhanced Resonance Skill.
