Should you build Chisa?

Chisa is a Havoc sustain and sub-DPS for teams built around Negative Statuses. She heals through Death Snip and Liberation, shields the team with Sawring - Eradication, applies Havoc Bane through Unseen Snare, and lets the team place three additional Negative Status or Electro Rage stacks after her Outro.

What to know before spending pulls

Her healing, shield, status support, and full Chainsaw loop work at S0. The current build recommends at least 120% Energy Regen because Moment of Nihility both heals and starts the 15-second damage window for her Chainsaw attacks. Build Crit and ATK after meeting that target; her listed mixed damage set is for personal output, while Rejuvenating Glow is the support-focused alternative.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Kumokiri is Chisa's featured weapon. At level 90 it has 500 ATK and 36% Crit Rate. Intro or applying a Negative Status builds up to three 8% Liberation DMG stacks; at three stacks, team Negative Status applications also grant 24% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 15 seconds. Lustrous Razor is a standard-pool alternative with 588 ATK, 36.45% ATK, and 12.8% Energy Regen. Each Resonance Skill cast adds 7% Liberation DMG Bonus, up to three stacks. Kumokiri matches Chisa's status support, while Lustrous Razor helps fund Liberation and strengthens her Chainsaw attacks, which count as Liberation damage.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Chisa's first Resonance Chain upgrade. It makes Sawring - Blitz, Eradication, and her Chainsaw Dodge Counter immune to interruption. Applying Unseen Snare also grants 30% ATK for 15 seconds and deals one fixed damage hit per target, subject to its stated HP limit. Kumokiri instead gives Crit Rate and status-triggered personal and team damage bonuses. S1 directly protects the long Chainsaw sequence; the weapon improves the normal S0 status rotation without changing its inputs.

Advice for your account

Negative Status team

Use Chisa's Outro before the team's main status window. The next attacks raise the target's Negative Status and Electro Rage stack limits by three, and inflicting a Negative Status grants Thread of Bane.

Account using Lustrous Razor

Its Energy Regen helps reach the listed 120% target, and Eye of Unraveling is already part of Chisa's setup. It does not provide Kumokiri's extra team damage effect, so treat it as a personal damage and energy option.

Player interrupted during Chainsaw Mode

S1 addresses this exact problem by making all three main Chainsaw actions immune to interruption. At S0, use the built-in dodge routes and enemy Stagnation windows rather than holding every attack through incoming hits.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Enter with Intro for 20 Ring of Chainsaw, then cast Eye of Unraveling to apply Unseen Snare. Follow with Normal Attacks through Rending Lunge and Death Snip for a team heal while building more Ring. Cast Moment of Nihility for another heal, 40 Ring, and the 15-second Woven Myriad damage window. Continue attacking until Ring reaches 100, then cast Serrated Loop to enter Chainsaw Mode. Hold Normal Attack through Sawring - Blitz while it consumes Ring, then complete Sawring - Eradication to spend the remaining Ring, deal the empowered hit, shield the team, and end Chainsaw Mode. Fill Concerto and use Outro before the team's Negative Status window.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

Intro grants 20 Ring and lets the next Normal Attack start at Basic Attack Stage 2. Liberation grants another 40 Ring, so an Intro cycle needs fewer normal hits before Serrated Loop becomes available. A cycle without Intro must build the missing Ring through Normal Attacks and Eye of Unraveling. Exiting Chainsaw Mode refills Lifethread - Jetstream, which supports Chisa's optional aerial Glide routes on the next setup.

Why this skill priority

Forte Circuit and Liberation lead because Ring of Chainsaw, Unseen Snare, Havoc Bane, all Chainsaw attacks, Eradication's shield, and the Woven Myriad multiplier window are stored there. Basic Attack contains Death Snip's heal and the ground route into it. Resonance Skill applies Unseen Snare and becomes Serrated Loop at full Ring, so it remains part of every complete cycle.

Required buffs and assumptions

The full sequence assumes Chisa reaches 100 Ring before Serrated Loop and uses Eradication while Woven Myriad is active. Eradication scales with up to 100 Ring consumed by Blitz and Chainsaw Dodge Counter. Chisa must keep dealing damage in Chainsaw Mode because inactivity drains Chainsaw Fever and can force an early exit.

Energy Regen target

The build data recommends at least 120% Energy Regen. Moment of Nihility grants 40 Ring, healing, and the 15-second multiplier increase that ends when Eradication is cast. Missing Resonance Energy delays both her sustain and the intended Chainsaw payoff.

Troubleshooting

Serrated Loop is unavailable

Likely cause: Ring of Chainsaw has not reached its 100-point cap or Chisa is not on the ground.

Check: Confirm Intro granted 20 Ring, Liberation granted 40, and Normal Attacks or Eye of Unraveling supplied the rest.

Fix: Finish building Ring to 100, land if Chisa is airborne, then cast Resonance Skill.

Chisa exits Chainsaw Mode before Eradication

Likely cause: She went too long without dealing damage, Chainsaw Fever reached zero, and Burnout began.

Check: Watch Chainsaw Fever during movement, target downtime, or interrupted attack strings.

Fix: Stay in range and keep dealing damage. Liberation, Intro, and Sawring - Blitz Stage 3: Falltone also reset Chainsaw Fever.

Sawring - Eradication has a weak Ring-based bonus

Likely cause: Sawring - Blitz Stage 3 was released into Falltone and Eradication was triggered before Blitz consumed enough Ring.

Check: The bonus counts Ring consumed by Blitz and Chainsaw Dodge Counter, up to 100 points.

Fix: Start Serrated Loop at the required 100 Ring and keep the Chainsaw attacks connected long enough to consume the meter before Eradication.

How to Play

While in Scissors Mode, attack to gain Forte Gauge Ring of Chainsaw. When Ring of Chainsaw is full, Chisa can cast an enhanced Resonance Skill and enter Chainsaw Mode. While in Chainsaw Mode, attacks consume Forte Gauge Ring of Chainsaw to significantly increase Sawring - Eradication's DMG Multiplier. After casting Resonance Liberation, the DMG Multiplier of Chainsaw Mode Skills is significantly increased. While in Scissors Mode, Chisa can consume Forte Gauge Lifethread - Jetstream to perform mid-air Special Dodge when casting specific skills. While in Chainsaw Mode, Forte Gauge Lifethread - Jetstream is replaced with Forte Gauge Chainsaw Fever. When Chisa stops attacking for a while, Chainsaw Fever gradually depletes, but hitting enemies during this time resets it. When Chainsaw Fever drops to 0, Chisa exits Chainsaw Mode and enters the Burnout State, during which Forte Gauge Ring of Chainsaw continues to deplete.
