Should you build Galbrena?

Galbrena is a Fusion damage dealer whose attacks alternate between Heavy Attack and Echo Skill damage. Team Echo Skills build Afterflame before she transforms, while her own attacks build Sinflame. At 100 Sinflame she enters Demon Hypostasis and spends the converted meter on enhanced attacks.

What to know before spending pulls

Her complete transformation loop works at S0. Team construction matters because each Echo Skill cast during Threshold State grants 8 Afterflame, but Echoes with the same name can trigger this only once before the cycle resets. Five qualifying casts reach the 40-point cap and the maximum 60% enhanced-attack increase in Demon Hypostasis.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Lux & Umbra is Galbrena's featured weapon. At level 90 it has 588 ATK and 48.6% Crit DMG. Echo Skill damage grants 24% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification, Heavy Attack damage grants 24% Echo Skill DMG Amplification, and having both effects active adds 8% DEF ignore. Solar Flame is the listed 4-star option with 413 ATK and 20.25% Crit Rate. Basic or Heavy Attack damage builds up to four stacks, each adding 2.2% ATK and 2.2% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. Lux & Umbra matches both halves of Galbrena's mixed damage kit; Solar Flame is a simpler option that supports the Heavy Attack half of her loop.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Galbrena's first Resonance Chain upgrade. When Ascent of Malice is cast, each Afterflame point adds 2% Crit DMG to her enhanced attacks, up to 80%, and her main combo finishers become immune to interruption. Lux & Umbra instead strengthens the alternating Heavy Attack and Echo Skill hits throughout Demon Hypostasis. S1 rewards entering with full Afterflame and protects the finishers; the weapon improves the existing S0 damage pattern.

Advice for your account

Team with several Echo Skill users

Cast qualifying Echo Skills while Galbrena is still in Threshold State. Five triggers from Echoes that do not share the same name fill Afterflame to 40 before Ascent of Malice.

Account using Solar Flame

Galbrena naturally deals repeated Basic and Heavy Attack damage, so she can build the weapon's four stacks during setup. It does not strengthen her Echo Skill-classified hits as directly as Lux & Umbra.

Team with Qiuyuan

Qiuyuan's Outro gives the incoming Galbrena 50% Echo Skill DMG Amplification, ending if she switches out. His Bamboo's Shade and Liberation also support her window, so complete Galbrena's Demon Hypostasis sequence before leaving.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Before Galbrena transforms, have the team cast enough qualifying Echo Skills to build Afterflame, ideally reaching 40. Bring Galbrena in with Intro, then use Encroach and normal or Heavy Attacks until Sinflame reaches 100. Cast Ascent of Malice to convert Sinflame into Purging Flame and enter Demon Hypostasis. Use Hellfire Absolution immediately to start its 14-second multiplier increase, then continue with Seraphic Execution, Flamewing Verdict, Ravage, and dodge counters as needed. These enhanced hits spend Purging Flame; finish as much of the attack chain as possible before the meter empties and Demon Hypostasis ends.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

The first transformation can use Echo Skills cast during the team's setup to preload Afterflame. Exiting Demon Hypostasis removes all Afterflame and resets the same-name Echo restriction, so the team must cast its Echo Skills again before Galbrena's next transformation. Sinflame is built separately through Galbrena's attacks in Threshold State.

Why this skill priority

Forte Circuit and Liberation lead because Demon Hypostasis, Afterflame, Sinflame, Purging Flame, the enhanced moves, and Hellfire Absolution's 14-second multiplier increase define her main damage window. Basic Attack remains important because several stages are Heavy Attack damage while the later finishers are Echo Skill damage, enabling Lux & Umbra's two effects.

Required buffs and assumptions

The maximum Afterflame setup assumes five qualifying Echo Skill casts before transformation. An Echo with the same name can grant Afterflame only once per cycle. The damage increase from Afterflame is locked to Demon Hypostasis and disappears when that state ends, so do not transform before the team finishes its Echo setup.

Energy Regen target

No minimum Energy Regen target is listed in the current build data. Hellfire Absolution should be ready for Demon Hypostasis because its 14-second increase affects the enhanced Basic, Heavy, aerial, and dodge-counter attacks. If Liberation is unavailable, Galbrena can still transform, but that cycle lacks the stated multiplier bonus.

Troubleshooting

Galbrena enters Demon Hypostasis with less than 40 Afterflame

Likely cause: The team cast too few Echo Skills during Threshold State, or repeated an Echo with the same name.

Check: Count qualifying triggers before Ascent of Malice. Each grants 8 Afterflame, and the same Echo name counts only once per cycle.

Fix: Use five qualifying Echo Skill casts before transforming and avoid duplicate Echo names when planning the setup.

Ascent of Malice is unavailable

Likely cause: Sinflame has not reached 100.

Check: Check the Sinflame meter after Intro, Encroach, Basic Attacks, Heavy Attacks, and aerial attacks in Threshold State.

Fix: Continue hitting with the listed Threshold State attacks until Sinflame is full, then cast Resonance Skill.

Demon Hypostasis ends before the planned combo finishes

Likely cause: Enhanced attacks consumed all Purging Flame.

Check: Ascent converts the current 100 Sinflame into an equal amount of Purging Flame, and enhanced hits spend it on contact.

Fix: Cast Liberation at the start of the form and prioritize the intended enhanced attack string without inserting unnecessary actions.

How to Play

While in Threshold State, Galbrena accumulates Sinflame when her attacks hit a target. When Sinflame reaches 100 points, press Resonance Skill to enter Demon Hypostasis. In Demon Hypostasis, 100 points of Purging Flame are obtained by consuming all available Sinflame. While in Demon Hypostasis, the more Afterflame Galbrena has, the more DMG enemies take from various enhanced moves.
