Should you build Lingyang?

Lingyang is a Glacio main damage dealer who builds 100 Lion's Spirit, enters Striding Lion, and attacks in the air with Feral Gyrate and Mountain Roamer. His Liberation grants 50% Glacio DMG Bonus and halves Lion's Spirit consumption, extending Striding Lion from about 5 seconds to as much as 10 seconds.

What to know before spending pulls

Lingyang's full Lion's Spirit and Striding Lion loop works at S0. His current build record does not publish a weapon recommendation list, so avoid treating any Gauntlet as an official best choice. Learn the Basic Attack and Furious Punches link, enter Striding Lion at full Spirit, and alternate its Basic and Skill attacks before investing in an extra copy.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Lingyang has no dedicated featured weapon and no ranked weapon list in the current build record. Abyss Surges is a standard 5-star reference with 588 ATK, 36.5% ATK, and 12.8% Energy Regen. Skill hits grant 10% Basic Attack DMG Bonus, while Basic Attack hits grant 10% Skill DMG Bonus for 8 seconds, matching his Feral Gyrate and Mountain Roamer alternation. Stonard is an accessible 4-star reference with 413 ATK and 20.3% Crit Rate, but its passive increases Liberation damage after Skill and does not directly improve the transformed Basic and Skill hits. These are mechanic comparisons, not a published ranking.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Lingyang's first Resonance Chain upgrade. It improves interruption resistance during Lion's Vigor, making the extended Striding Lion window harder to disrupt, but it does not add damage or Lion's Spirit. Abyss Surges instead supplies ATK, Energy Regen, and bonuses that alternate between Basic and Skill hits. Choose S1 for comfort during Liberation or a weapon for broader stats; the full 100-Spirit loop works without either.

Advice for your account

Account using Abyss Surges

Alternate Feral Gyrate and Mountain Roamer during Striding Lion. Each attack type activates the weapon bonus for the other, and the same Basic-then-Skill order also enables Diligent Practice's extra Mountain Roamer damage.

Account using Stonard

Stonard provides Crit Rate, but its passive improves the initial Liberation hit after Skill rather than the Basic and Skill damage that fills most of Striding Lion. Treat it as an accessible stat option, not a direct substitute for every part of Abyss Surges.

Team with Zhezhi

Use Zhezhi's Outro directly into Lingyang. It amplifies the incoming character's Glacio damage by 20% and Resonance Skill damage by 25%, covering Mountain Roamer and Diligent Practice's additional Skill-classified hit.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Build Lion's Spirit by using Intro, Liberation, and Furious Punches. During the normal Basic Attack string, Basic Attacks 3, 4, 5, and Feral Roars can replace Ancient Arts with Furious Punches. Press Skill after those eligible hits; Skill does not reset the Basic Attack cycle. At 100 Lion's Spirit, cast Strive: Lion's Vigor, then press Basic Attack to enter Striding Lion while the full gauge condition is active. In Striding Lion, use Feral Gyrate and follow each Basic Attack with Mountain Roamer within 3 seconds to trigger Diligent Practice. Continue alternating until Spirit falls below 10, finish with Stormy Kicks and Tail Strike, then leave through Outro.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

Intro and Liberation both grant Lion's Spirit, so an Intro opening can reach 100 faster. If full Spirit is reached without Intro or Liberation, hold Normal Attack for Glorious Plunge to enter Striding Lion. When Intro or Liberation has just been cast at full Spirit, Basic Attack enters the state instead. Casting Liberation before the transformed sequence halves Spirit consumption and extends the available field time.

Why this skill priority

No skill priority is published in the current override, so this guide does not invent a numbered order. Forte Circuit contains Striding Lion, Feral Gyrate, Mountain Roamer, and Lion's Spirit. Liberation supplies the 50% Glacio bonus and longer transformed window, while Basic Attack and Skill create the normal-state setup and the alternating transformed attacks.

Required buffs and assumptions

The sequence assumes Intro, Liberation, or enough Furious Punches bring Lion's Spirit to 100 before the transformed entry. Diligent Practice requires Mountain Roamer within 3 seconds after a Striding Lion Basic Attack. Enemy movement and dodges can shorten the number of transformed attacks even when Liberation slows Spirit consumption.

Energy Regen target

No minimum Energy Regen target is listed in the current build data. Liberation grants 50% Glacio DMG Bonus and slows Lion's Spirit consumption by 50%, so Energy Regen matters when Lion's Vigor is unavailable for the planned Striding Lion window. Abyss Surges supplies 12.8% Energy Regen.

Troubleshooting

Ancient Arts does not change into Furious Punches

Likely cause: The preceding Basic Attack was not stage 3, 4, 5, or Feral Roars, or it missed the target.

Check: Confirm one of the listed Basic hits connected before pressing Resonance Skill.

Fix: Continue the Basic string to stage 3 or later, then press Skill after the hit lands.

Striding Lion ends after about five seconds

Likely cause: Lingyang entered the state without the Lion's Vigor effect from Liberation.

Check: Confirm Strive: Lion's Vigor was cast before entering Striding Lion.

Fix: Build Liberation energy first, cast it at full Lion's Spirit, then press Basic Attack to enter the extended state.

Mountain Roamer misses its extra Diligent Practice damage

Likely cause: The Skill was used before a transformed Basic Attack or more than 3 seconds afterward.

Check: Verify Feral Gyrate connected during Striding Lion immediately before Mountain Roamer.

Fix: Alternate Basic Attack into Skill and keep the Skill within the 3-second window after each Basic Attack.
