Should you build Luuk Herssen?

Luuk Herssen is a Spectro Basic Attack damage dealer for Tune Strain teams. He applies Tune Strain - Shifting himself, gains damage against Interfered targets, and turns three Aureole of Execution casts into a stronger Liberation.

What to know before spending pulls

His complete aerial combo works at S0. A Tune Strain teammate matters because Interfered stacks enable his response scaling and let Pulses Under the Snow carry stacks from defeated enemies into a later Tune Break. His second listed team with Sanhua and Verina is a simpler Basic Attack option when the account lacks current Tune Strain supports.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Daybreaker's Spine is Luuk's featured weapon. At level 90 it has 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate. Basic Attack damage grants 20% Spectro DMG Bonus, while applying Tune Strain - Shifting grants 20% Basic Attack DMG Amplification and 10% Basic Attack DEF ignore. Pulsation Bracer has the same ATK and Crit Rate; against a target under Tune Strain - Interfered, it builds up to 24% Basic Attack DMG Bonus. Daybreaker's Spine activates from Luuk's own Shifting application, while Pulsation Bracer needs the team to establish Interfered first.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Luuk's first Resonance Chain upgrade. It grants 150% Mid-air Attack DMG Bonus, lets Dawnlit Keep hold two stacks, and restores one Ward stack whenever Aureole of Execution is cast during Aureate Judge. Daybreaker's Spine instead strengthens his Spectro Basic Attacks after his normal Shifting triggers. S1 is valuable for the aerial parts of his loop and extra protection; the weapon supplies broader damage bonuses without changing the combo.

Advice for your account

Tune Strain team with Denia

Denia's Tune Strain mode helps create and maintain the status conditions Luuk uses. This supports his Interfered response scaling, his ATK increase after Shifting or Tune Break, and Pulsation Bracer if that is his weapon.

Account using Pulsation Bracer

Make sure Interfered is active before Luuk's damage window. The weapon can reach four 6% Basic Attack DMG stacks, but only while he damages a target already under Tune Strain - Interfered.

Account without Tune Strain supports

Use the Sanhua and Verina team from his current guide. Sanhua supports Basic Attack damage, but this lineup does not automatically reproduce every Interfered-based benefit of the Tune Strain team.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Have another teammate use Outro into Luuk when Golden Rule is ready. This gives him 200 Ichor Flow; Intro adds another 100 and starts his aerial sequence. Complete Basic Attack Stage 4 or Mid-air Stage 3 to replace Resonance Skill with Aureole of Execution. Cast Ring, use the Golden Impale follow-up, rebuild to the trigger attack, then cast Breach and its Impale. Trigger the skill once more for Glare, then use Gavel of Earthshaker to detonate the Ichor Deposit. These three Aureole casts grant three Endnotes. Cast Rewritten in Winter's Margins before switching so the Liberation receives all three 25% multiplier increases.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

Golden Rule can grant 200 Ichor Flow only when another teammate uses Outro into Luuk, and the team receives Golden Rule again after 24 seconds. Intro itself restores 100, so an opener with both effects begins at the 300-point cap and immediately enters Aureate Judge. A repeat cycle without Golden Rule must rebuild more Ichor Flow through attacks and skills.

Why this skill priority

Resonance Skill and Forte Circuit lead because the three Aureole forms, Golden Impale, Ichor Deposit, Gavel of Earthshaker, Ichor Flow, and Aureate Judge form the main loop. Liberation is the payoff for the three Endnotes those skills create. Basic Attack connects every Aureole trigger and supplies most of his damage classification.

Required buffs and assumptions

The fast sequence assumes a teammate Outrows into Luuk while Golden Rule is ready and Luuk enters with Intro. Switching Luuk out resets the Aureole cycle, removes Endnotes, and cancels pending Golden Impale or Gavel follow-ups, so finish the sequence before leaving.

Energy Regen target

The build data recommends at least 120% Energy Regen. Three Endnotes disappear when Luuk switches, so delayed Liberation can force the player either to wait on-field or lose the fully prepared payoff.

Troubleshooting

Luuk starts with less than 300 Ichor Flow

Likely cause: The previous teammate did not Outro into him while Golden Rule was ready, or Intro was unavailable.

Check: Confirm the handoff used Outro and that Golden Rule's 24-second refresh had completed. Intro supplies the remaining 100 Flow.

Fix: Plan the support Outro directly into Luuk, then use Intro. Otherwise rebuild Flow through normal attacks and Resonance Skills.

Aureole of Execution resets to Golden Reflux

Likely cause: Luuk switched out before completing the three-form cycle.

Check: Watch whether the rotation leaves Luuk between Ring, Breach, and Glare.

Fix: Keep him active through all three forms, their follow-ups, and Liberation.

Rewritten in Winter's Margins lacks the full Endnotes increase

Likely cause: Fewer than three Aureole forms were cast, or switching removed the stacks.

Check: Count Ring, Breach, and Glare. Each grants one Endnote, up to three.

Fix: Complete all three forms and cast Liberation before switching characters.
