Should you build Hsin?

Hsin is a 5-star Electro Rectifier main DPS whose damage is mostly Resonance Skill DMG, including her empowered Heavy Attacks, her Pillars Across Heaven Liberation, and her Manifold Unison Intro. Before building her, decide which Resonance Mode you will run: Unison needs a second Unison Resonator such as Suoming, while Electro Flare needs teammates who apply Electro Flare, such as Rover: Electro. The mode decides her team, and her weapon and Echo set work in both.

What to know before spending pulls

Every weapon in her current build list is a 5-star: Blooming Jadehaven, Lethean Elegy, Stringmaster, and Cosmic Ripples. This guide has not reviewed a 4-star option yet. That is a gap in the guide, not proof that she needs a weapon-banner pull. Her Echo set, Heart of Sworn Vigil, activates in both modes, so you do not need to farm two sets to try both teams.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Blooming Jadehaven (signature) has 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate at level 90. Its passive gives 12% All-Attribute DMG Bonus. After she inflicts Electro Flare or triggers Unison Response, it Amplifies Resonance Skill DMG by 36% and ignores 10% of the target's Electro RES. While she is the active Resonator, it also Amplifies Electro Flare DMG taken by nearby targets by 30%. Both triggers match her two modes, so the passive works in either team. Lethean Elegy has the same 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate. Its 32% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus and 8% DEF ignore only apply for 12s after she deals Echo Skill DMG, so you must use her main Echo before each damage window. Stringmaster trades ATK for Crit: 500 ATK and 36% Crit Rate, plus 12% Attribute DMG Bonus and up to 24% ATK from dealing Resonance Skill DMG. Cosmic Ripples is fourth on her list. Its passive raises Energy Regen and Basic Attack DMG, and Basic Attacks are not the main part of her damage. Tacet Codex has not run a damage test that ranks these weapons against each other.

Another character copy or the weapon?

Her S1 changes depending on the mode. In both modes, casting Formshift gives her 2 stacks of Radiance Ward, which make her immune to interruption and reduce DMG taken by 60% for 1s when she is hit. In Unison, S1 raises the multiplier of both Manifold Unison Intros by 15%, plus 10% per Unison Boon stack, up to 4 stacks. In Electro Flare, S1 tops Heart of Thunder up to 50 stacks when she enters combat and raises the multiplier of the Electro Flare DMG from her Resonance Skill. S2 raises the multipliers of all four empowered Heavy Attacks by 60%. Blooming Jadehaven gives a stat increase and a passive that work in both modes. These effects cannot be ranked from their descriptions, and Tacet Codex has not tested S1 against the signature.

Advice for your account

You own Suoming or plan to pull her

Run her Unison team: Hsin, Suoming, Shorekeeper. In Unison, Hsin's Intro becomes Manifold Unison, which counts as Resonance Skill DMG, and her inherent skill gives her 50% ATK for 8s after she casts it. Her build list names Jinhsi as the alternative for Suoming, and Buling or Verina as the alternatives for Shorekeeper.

You do not have Suoming

Run her Electro Flare team: Hsin, Rover: Electro, Suisui. Rover: Electro is free, and her inherent skill gives both Hsin and Rover: Electro 20% Electro DMG Bonus for 7s when Rover: Electro casts Intro Skill - Thunderous Fury. Each teammate who inflicts Electro Flare gives Hsin 25% Electro DMG Bonus, up to 2 stacks. Her build list names Buling as the swap for each slot and Chisa as another option for the Suisui slot.

Choosing between S1 and the signature

If you already own Lethean Elegy or Stringmaster, you have a 5-star weapon with Crit Rate, and the signature adds less than it would to an account with no 5-star Rectifier. In that case S1, with its damage reduction and mode-specific multipliers, is a reasonable first upgrade. If your current Rectifier is weak, the signature's passive works in both modes. Neither option has been damage-tested here.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

1. In Answering Form, use Basic Attacks and her Resonance Skill until Answering Heart reaches 100. 2. Hold Normal Attack to cast Realm Wanderer, an empowered Heavy Attack that cannot be interrupted. This unlocks Formshift. 3. Cast Formshift (Resonance Liberation) to switch to Illumining Form and enter Heart Manifest. This also gives her 21 Edict, which summons a Soaring Pillar Coordinated Attack once per second while the active Resonator deals damage. 4. In Illumining Form, build Illumining Heart to 300, then tap Resonance Skill on the ground to cast Pillars Aligned and enter Mechanism Dominion. 5. Use Basic Attacks or Dodge Counters during Mechanism Dominion until Illumining Heart is empty, then hold Normal Attack for Beholding All Horizons. 6. Cast Pillars Across Heaven (Resonance Liberation) to end the form, then swap out with her Outro.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

Realm Wanderer and Beholding All Horizons each have a stronger version, Realm Protector and Stilling All Horizons, which uses a buff she can gain once every 24s. Whether the stronger version comes up depends on how long the rest of your rotation takes. Her S2 resets both cooldowns and restores 100 Answering Heart when she enters combat, once every 12s. In Unison, casting an Intro before Formshift gives her Unison for 5s, so enter with her Intro on later cycles.

Why this skill priority

Most of her damage is labeled Resonance Skill DMG even when it comes from another button. Realm Wanderer and Beholding All Horizons are Forte Circuit Heavy Attacks, Pillars Across Heaven is on her Liberation, and Manifold Unison is on her Intro. Forte Circuit and Liberation hold the most of these, so they come before Basic Attack.

Required buffs and assumptions

Her mode is set before combat and decides what her Outro does. In Unison, teammates who gain Unison pick up Shared Light, and her Outro gives them 20% All DMG Amplification for 30s. In Electro Flare, her Outro Amplifies the Electro DMG of every other teammate by 20% for 20s. Heart of Sworn Vigil gives 15% Crit Rate and 22.5% Electro DMG for 30s after she inflicts Electro Flare, gains Unison, or triggers Unison Response, so it stays active in either team without extra setup.

How to Play

Hsin fights across two linked stances, Answering Form and Illumining Form, each building its own resource (Answering Heart / Illumining Heart) that unlocks an enhanced Heavy Attack or Resonance Skill once filled. On top of that, she can be built into one of two Resonance Modes that change how her team works: Resonance Mode - Unison: Hsin can trigger Unison Response and rapidly recast her Intro Skill to stack team-wide Unison Boon. This is her strongest mode when paired with another Unison-capable Resonator like Suoming, who hands her a Resonance Skill DMG amplifier before swapping out. Resonance Mode - Electro Flare: Hsin converts Electro Rage applied by the rest of the team into Heart of Thunder stacks, then consumes them through her Resonance Skill to deal bonus Electro Flare damage. This mode works without a dedicated Unison partner, pairing instead with a Flare applier like Rover: Electro or Chisa. In testing, most of Hsin's damage in a rotation comes from her Forte Circuit (roughly 35-45%) and Intro Skill (~22%) in either mode, so prioritize keeping her Forte gauge and Unison/Flare resource cycling over pure Basic Attack uptime. This is pre-release information from Version 3.7.1 testing and is subject to change before Hsin's official release.
