Should you build Qingxiao?

Qingxiao is an Aero damage dealer for Tune Strain teams. Build her when your team can apply Tune Strain - Interfered consistently, because those stacks create Mindlock and raise the damage of her Heavy Attacks, Liberation, and Ephemeral Transcendence attacks.

What to know before spending pulls

She can function without her featured weapon. Her current build already lists Emerald of Genesis as an alternative, and that standard 5-star sword supplies Crit Rate, Energy Regen, and an ATK increase after Resonance Skills. Prioritize a complete Tune Strain team before spending pulls to improve only Qingxiao's weapon or Resonance Chain.

Do you need the signature weapon?

Glint of Clouds is Qingxiao's featured weapon. At level 90 it has 500 ATK and 36% Crit Rate. Its passive adds 12% ATK, then builds Aero DMG when Qingxiao applies Tune Strain - Shifting; at five stacks, the bonus lasts 30 seconds and her Aero DMG ignores 10% DEF. If you already own Emerald of Genesis, it is a useful general alternative with 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate. Its passive gives 12.8% Energy Regen and up to 12% ATK after two Resonance Skill casts. The signature matches her Tune Strain loop more closely, but the site does not have a controlled damage comparison between them.

Another character copy or the weapon?

S1 means Qingxiao's first Resonance Chain upgrade. It adds 16% Crit Rate, lets Swordlight Ward hold two stacks, grants another Ward when she enters Ephemeral Transcendence, and adds Juque Perdition attacks during her attack strings. Her featured weapon instead gives Crit Rate and bonuses that build when she applies Tune Strain - Shifting. Both upgrades improve her damage in different ways, so their descriptions alone do not prove which gives the larger increase. Keep a strong sword you already own and consider S1 for its extra kit effects; choose the weapon when you need its Crit Rate and Tune Strain package.

Advice for your account

New account still building a Tune Strain team

Finish the team first. Qingxiao applies Tune Strain - Shifting herself, but Mindlock grows when the team adds Tune Strain - Interfered. A suitable teammate affects the part of her kit that amplifies her main attacks, while a weapon upgrade only improves Qingxiao's own stats.

Account that already owns Emerald of Genesis

Use it while you learn her loop. It gives Crit Rate and rewards the Resonance Skill casts already used to fill her gauges. Glint of Clouds has the more specific Tune Strain passive, but owning Emerald of Genesis removes the need to treat the featured weapon as a requirement.

Account choosing between S1 and the featured weapon

Choose based on the gap in your build. The weapon supplies 36% Crit Rate and a Tune Strain-based Aero package. S1 adds 16% Crit Rate plus new Ward and follow-up attack effects. No controlled comparison is published here, so avoid treating either option as a universal winner.

Rotation and troubleshooting

Easy rotation

Enter with Qingxiao's Intro Skill when it is available, then cast Resonance Liberation to gain Heaven's Clarity. Use her normal attack string and Resonance Skill to fill Qin Heart and Sword Cadence. When both gauges reach 100, hold Normal Attack to cast Heavy Attack - Stringblade and enter Ephemeral Transcendence. Continue her Ephemeral Transcendence attacks until Heart Sword Intent is full, then hold Normal Attack for Heavy Attack - Heaven's Reckoning before switching out.

Opening vs. repeat cycles

The action order stays the same, but Mindlock can differ between cycles. Qingxiao starts combat with one Gathered Mind stack. Her team can build more Mindlock by applying Tune Strain - Interfered, and defeated enemies can raise Gathered Mind for later targets. Do not assume a first-cycle target already has the Mindlock stacks shown in a later cycle.

Why this skill priority

Forte Circuit is first because it contains Ephemeral Transcendence, both resources used to enter it, Mindlock's damage amplification, and the empowered finishing Heavy Attack. Resonance Liberation is next because it grants Heaven's Clarity, which doubles the rate at which her stance attacks fill Qin Heart and Sword Cadence.

Required buffs and assumptions

This loop assumes Qingxiao is paired with teammates who can help apply Tune Strain - Interfered. She applies Tune Strain - Shifting with her own skills, but her Mindlock scaling improves when the team adds Interfered stacks. The exact number of attacks needed to fill each gauge can change after dodges, Intro availability, and skill timing.

Troubleshooting

Heavy Attack - Stringblade does not activate

Likely cause: Only one of Qingxiao's two entry gauges is full. The skill requires both 100 Qin Heart and 100 Sword Cadence.

Check: Look at both gauges before holding Normal Attack. Sheathed Stance attacks fill Qin Heart, while Drawn Stance attacks fill Sword Cadence.

Fix: Use the stance that fills the missing gauge. Her Resonance Skill grants Qin Heart, and her Intro Skill grants Sword Cadence.

The Ephemeral Transcendence finisher is unavailable

Likely cause: Heart Sword Intent is not full yet.

Check: Confirm that her Ephemeral Transcendence attacks are landing and the Heart Sword Intent gauge has reached 100.

Fix: Continue the Ephemeral Transcendence normal string or use a successful Dodge Counter, then hold Normal Attack when the gauge is full.

The final Heavy Attack loses its Heaven's Clarity enhancement

Likely cause: Qingxiao switched out after Heavy Attack - Stringblade and before Heavy Attack - Heaven's Reckoning.

Check: Watch whether you swap characters during Ephemeral Transcendence.

Fix: Finish building Heart Sword Intent and cast Heaven's Reckoning before switching. Her kit explicitly ends that enhancement when she leaves the field.

How to Play

Qingxiao's forte moves her into Ephemeral Transcendence, a separate stance with its own basic attack, dodge counter, and heavy attack line. Getting there and back out is the actual gameplay loop, not just holding a button. Her passive, Sea of Thought, World of Dust, gives her a stack of Gathered Mind the moment she enters combat, and more stacks whenever the team finishes off a target that was carrying Mindlock. To Know, To Banish then turns those Mindlock stacks into flat damage amplification on her Ephemeral Transcendence attacks and Resonance Liberation: 2% per stack, plus 5% more for each of the first seven. That's the reason to build Mindlock with teammates before cutting loose, not just tab into Qingxiao and mash. Her Outro, Lingering Song, hits for 800% of her ATK on its own, so ending a rotation on her instead of switching off early is worth real damage.

Player Guidance

Beginner

The stance-swap combat can feel like learning two characters at once. If the Ephemeral Transcendence timing isn't clicking yet, building Mindlock with normal attacks and using Resonance Liberation on cooldown still adds up while the inputs settle in.

F2P

Glint of Clouds is her signature, but Emerald Sentence and Red Spring, both on the Build tab, cover the same ATK and Crit Rate her stat priority calls for without needing that exact weapon.

Progression

Mindlock scales with how many teammates can inflict Tune Strain - Interfered, so running her with Denia in Tune Strain mode or with Ciaccona pushes To Know, To Banish further than pairing her with units that can't feed the mechanic at all.
